About GroundTrace

Aerial records, built by someone who knows the job site.

GroundTrace Aerial Intelligence LLC turns scheduled drone flights into clear, dated visual reports for construction projects and for the properties people own and manage in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

  • FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot
  • Decades in construction and civil sitework
  • Every report reviewed by a person
What we do

Make “what has changed?” easy to answer.

On a job site or a property, the most useful question is usually the simplest one: what is different since last time? Memory, scattered phone photos and occasional walk-throughs make it hard to answer with confidence.

GroundTrace photographs from the same viewpoints on a schedule and organizes the results into a dated report. You see what changed, where it changed, and what may need attention, in a form you can share with the people who need to see it.

The same method works for a building going up and for a roof, a drainage ditch or a line of trees that changes slowly over the years.

The person behind it

Experience from the field, not just the cockpit.

GroundTrace was started by a civil sitework professional with decades of experience in construction. That background shapes how the work is done: photos are taken from repeatable positions, and reports are organized the way a job is actually run, by phase, zone and milestone. Findings are written plainly and stay within what the photos show.

How we work

Four commitments behind every report.

Same viewpoints

Repeat visits are flown from matching positions, so change is easy to see and easy to trust.

Plain language

Findings are described neutrally, in words a non-specialist can follow, with a suggested timing for follow-up.

A person reviews everything

AI helps organize observations, but every finding is checked and approved by a person before it reaches a report.

Honest about limits

Every report shows which areas were reviewed and which were not, with a score based only on what was assessed.

Where we can help

Two services, one method.

Both start with the same idea: fly from the same places on a schedule and build a dated record you can compare.

Construction progress monitoring

For general contractors, developers, owners and project managers who want a dated visual record from site preparation to completion.

Property monitoring

For homeowners, property managers and businesses who want a baseline, regular visits and storm documentation for roofs, drainage, vegetation and outbuildings.

Scope

What GroundTrace is, and is not.

GroundTrace provides aerial visual documentation and observations. It helps you see, record and compare. When something needs a closer look, it is flagged so the right professional can be called.

Not a substitute for licensed services. GroundTrace does not replace licensed surveying, engineering, architectural review, code or safety inspection, home inspection, roofing or insurance services. It does not diagnose causes or estimate repair costs, and measurements taken from photos are image-based estimates.
